Harness the Power of Beneficial Nematodes for Natural Pest Control!
Discover the effectiveness of beneficial nematodes, microscopic worms that serve as powerful allies in your fight against damaging pests in your organic garden, lawn, or home. With the capability to control a wide range of pests, including fire ants, weevils, and grubs, these nematodes offer a safe and eco-friendly alternative to conventional pesticides, protecting your plants and promoting a healthier environment for people and pets.
Beneficial nematodes can be applied whenever soil temperatures are above 40°F and not frozen, and they work seamlessly alongside other organic products. Once introduced into the soil, these natural predators actively hunt down and eliminate harmful insects, making them an essential tool for both preventive and reactive pest management.
Easily mix and apply the nematodes to target over 230 pests, including Cabbage Root Maggots, American Hornet Moth, Cucumber Beetles, Fungus Gnats, Thrips (Franklinothrips sp), Beet Armyworm, Black Cutworm, Codling Moth, Ticks, Corn Earworm, Crane Flies, Cucumber Beetle, Fruit Flies (Drasophylla), Fungus Gnats (Bradysia impatiens), Onion Maggots, Raspberry Crown Borer, Root Maggots, Sciarids, Shore Flies, Subterranean Termites, Sweet Potato Weevil, Tobacco Cutworm and so many more.
Each order includes clear instructions for optimal application, ensuring that you maximize their effectiveness in your garden.
Transform your pest control strategy with beneficial nematodes and enjoy a thriving, chemical-free garden!
| Nematodes Quantity | 10 Million, 20 Million, 50 Million Steinernema feltiae are microscopic, beneficial nematodes highly effective at controlling soil-dwelling and soft-bodied pests in their larval and pupal stages. They act as a safe, organic pesticide alternative that is completely harmless to humans, pets, and plants. How They Work & Hunt: Nematodes use an "ambush and cruise" foraging strategy. They actively seek out pests, entering through natural body openings. Once inside the pest, they release a symbiotic bacterium that is highly toxic to the host, killing it within a few days. The nematodes will then reproduce inside the host, and a new generation of juvenile nematodes will emerge to hunt for more pests, providing long-term biological control. The Ideal Environmental Conditions Temperature: They are cold-tolerant and thrive in soil or growing media temperatures between 50 degrees and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Because they are aquatic organisms, they require moist (but not waterlogged) soil to travel and survive. Application Tips How to apply: They are usually applied as a soil drench using a watering can, pump sprayer, or hose-end sprayer. For foliar applications (e.g., against thrips), spray during overcast days or in the evening and mist the plants afterward to maintain the necessary humidity. Filter removal: Ensure all fine filters or screens (50 mesh or finer) in your spray lines are removed so the nematodes can pass through without damage. Make sure to pre-moisten the soil. Always water your pots or garden beds before applying so the nematodes can easily migrate 1 to 2 inches below the surface to hunt. It is best to apply your nematodes during dusk or in overcast conditions as they are photosensitive and it is best for them to be exposed to as little sun light as possible. For application on trees, in ground, apply to ground area approx. 10 ft. diameter, around the base of the tree. 10 million nematodes will treat approx. 30 trees. |
