Q: Can I purchase large amounts of beneficial insects?
A: Yes, we offer selected products in bulk sizes. Please click the above links to the product you would like, such as bulk ladybugs and select the amount you would like, but call us for orders over $500.00. View your shopping cart with the button at the bottom of the screen. You can pay using a credit card, debit card, or PayPal.
Q: What days of the week do you ship?
A: All beneficial insects are shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays each week (unless it is a UPS shipping holiday delay). Due to the unpredictable temperatures at shipping warehouses, they can NOT be shipped over the weekend. Any orders received after 12:00 pm PST will be shipped on the following shipping day.
Q: Where do you ship?
A: Using our online store, we ship to locations in the continental United States. If you would like to have beneficial insects shipped to Alaska or internationally, please call us directly.
Q: Do you ship when it's very hot?
A: Due to the nature of live products, at the discretion of Northwest Beneficials, shipping may be upgraded at the customer's expense due to extremely high or low tempuratures along the shipping route. We will contact you if this is the case, so please include your phone number upon check out. Your privacy is very important to us, so phone numbers will not be used for any other purpose unless we receive your permission.
Q: When should I release ladybugs?
A: In the evening, mist the area where you plan to release ladybugs. Cut off the top of the package and lay at the bottom the plants where you would like them to stay.
Q: How can I get the ladybugs to stay in my garden?
A: Ladybugs will stay in an area if they have adequate water and food, so when your pests are gone, the ladybugs move to another area. Watch next year for their larvae (their babies).
Q: How do I redeem my green lacewing voucher I purchased at my garden center?
A: Click on the Store tab at the top right, put the 1000 or 5000 eggs of green lacewings in your shopping cart, put in the coupon code, and fill in your address information. We'll ship them out!
