We're sorry, VermiPods™ are out of stock at this time.
VermiPods™ are encapsulated earthworm eggs. Earthworms are a natural, living soil conditioner, aerator and living plow. Through their normal activities they loosen soil, boost nitrogen levels, and improve drainage. Worm castings are a wonderful fertilizer, rich in nutrients otherwise unavailable to plants. An earthworm produces its weight in castings daily.
Each VermiPod™ contains approx. 5-10 earthworm eggs coated with a layer of protective clay. Simply plant the VermiPods™ as you would any seed, and let nature take its course. The worms begin hatching in approx. 2-6 weeks depending on soil temperatures and over time will reproduce and continue to improve the soil. Encapsulated Earthworm Eggs or VermiPods™ make it convenient and easy to add these soil-transforming creatures to your garden. The earthworm eggs are first protected by covering the fragile eggs in a biodegradable, high-grade clay soil and then coated with beeswax to seal in the moisture. Plant these ready-to-hatch VermiPods™ just as you would any ordinary seed.
